FAQ

Do I need an appointment to be a new patient?

No, we are a walk-in clinic. We just ask that you arrive at least 45 minutes prior to close of business so that we have time to complete paperwork and draw labs.

What should I expect at the first visit/how long will it take?

You will fill out a registration form and have blood drawn. PLEASE BRING A LIST OF CURRENT MEDICATIONS INCLUDING BIRTH CONTROL/IUD NAME. We will let you know when to come back the following week to discuss lab results and treatment options. The length of time will depend on how busy the clinic is, but generally around 30 minutes.

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance. We want everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of hormone replacement therapy and strive to offer the most affordable and complete treatment possible.

What’s the cost?

$130 for the initial labs, regardless if you are male or female. Treatment is based on your labs, so the cost of treatment varies and will be explained once the labs are reviewed.

Do you charge office visit fees or membership fees?

No.

I’m a female and heard that there’s a certain time of the month that labs should be drawn, is this true?

Yes. Females that still have menstrual cycles should have labs drawn during the 7-day window prior to the first day of your next cycle. If you no longer have cycles for any reason (IUD, hysterectomy, menopause, ablation, etc.) then you can have labs drawn anytime.

I’m not interested in starting therapy with you, can I just come in for bloodwork? My trainer/buddy/other doctor told me to have labs checked and they would tell me what to do.

No, that is not an option. Lab services are for our patients only.

Do you treat children?

No, you must be at least 18 years of age to become a patient.

I’m transgender/wanting to transition, is that something you can help with?

Unfortunately, that is outside our scope of practice. We can replace, but we can’t reassign.

I’m trying to get pregnant. Are you a fertility clinic?

No, we are a hormone replacement clinic. Balanced hormones are essential for being able to conceive, but we do not provide fertility treatments. If you are a current patient and become pregnant, you must let us know immediately.

I’m only interested in IV Hydration/Vitamin Boost injections/peptides; do I have to have labs drawn for that?

No, we do not require labs for IV hydration therapy, Vitamin Boost injections, or peptides.

I live far away; can I take my meds home?

There is an option to take 10 weeks home at a time after you are an established patient and have had labs reviewed.

Do I need to be fasting for blood work?

No, please feel free to eat and drink normally.  It is actually best to be well hydrated when you come in for labs, so be sure to drink plenty of water!

How long does it take to get my labs back?

One week. You will get your results the following week when you come in. If you took your treatment home, someone will call you to review your results.

My doctor prescribes hormone therapy that is covered by my insurance, but doesn’t offer all the hormone treatment options you do. Can I get partial therapy from my doctor and partial therapy from you?

No, we would have to provide all aspects of your hormone therapy, or none at all. The reason is that we cannot make adjustments to what they are providing you, making it difficult to balance your levels. If you are currently on treatment with your doctor and want to transition your treatment to our clinic fully, that is an option. But your hormone therapy must come from one place or the other, not both.

When will I start to feel the benefits of therapy?

Males about 3-4 weeks. Females may take a little longer because there are more hormones to balance.

I have labs from another doctor, can I bring those instead of having new labs drawn?

Unfortunately, we do not take outside labs. This is due to all hormones needing to be drawn all at once on the same day, as well as on specific days. We apologize for any inconvenience.
